Day 181 - What?!

I have been using ellipsis incorrectly!

You are supposed to treat them as a missing word, meaning spaces on both sides.

Also, if you are using them in a way as if you are not completing a thought, you are supposed to use a dash instead. Unless that thought was said, but you aren't writing it, then you use an ellipsis.

Yesterday I was looking at my nerd books (read: Style Guides) and stumbled upon this.

Ugh.
