Day 296 - A Fabulous Birthday Celebration

Last night the Brit and I celebrated his birthday and it was great.

First, we went to Geisha House for dinner. He was so excited when I told the parking lot attendant where we were going so we could park. Up until we got there, I kept the dinner locale secret. The Brit apparently loves sushi, phew.

I had read reviews and some people said it was too dark and too loud, but it was actually very nice. It was red lighting but also normal lighting so it wasn't too much. It wasn't loud at all, but we got there early, which I think is the way to go.

We got drinks that were delish! Seriously, I love lychee cocktails.

We also got some edamame and a couple rolls. Everything was really good. The two rolls were really different and he let me pick them both since I had read reviews of what was good.

The only problem there was the service was slow. This would not be a problem except we were on a time crunch. Also, the prices may have been higher than how good the sushi was, but it's very Hollywood, so you expect it.

We made it out on time and walked over to Santaland Diaries!

It was really good, again.

At first I was worried because the actor wasn't as good as the Chicago guy in the beginning, but once he got to the elf stuff and some of the more animated stuff, it was really great. The Brit really enjoyed it. Plus, the lady next to me fell asleep and then woke herself up with her snoring.

After that we decided to grab dessert and wine at Trader Joe's and watch a movie or TV. We then discovered that we both used to get chocolate oranges in our Christmas stockings so that was dessert for the night.

All in all, it was such a nice night. The Brit had a great time and said lots of sweet things about how sweet I am. I know. And now he has a sushi place that he wants to take me to when we're both back in town from Christmas. Plus he was really happy that the whole night was a surprise. He loves surprises which is a relief since I didn't really ask if he did. He just seemed really happy and that was the goal!

Also, I got to wear my $5 awesome H&M dress with black tights and heels and I looked so great! And the Brit was dressed up to which is always fun. He looked sharp and was a total gentleman.

Now I have to pack to move and pack for Christmas in Austin. So much to do. And all I want to do is sleep. Yikes.

Day 217 - Hello Regular Molly, Welcome Back

Phew! I feel much better. A little sneezy this morning, but no watery eyes or miserableness.

Hmm...I bought a black, straw fedora this morning at H&M. It's totally cliche, but who cares! I'll post a pic soon.

Also, in boy news (because work news and cat news aren't all that exciting...nevermind, cat news is great) Neighbor called today! He has confirmed for tomorrow. We're grabbing a late lunch (around 1 or 2pm) at Sweet Love Hangover. Oh, and when he confirmed, he called it a date. If only all guys knew that using the word date is all they need to do to make us happy.

I must admit that I do like that he calls. Despite my phone phobia (it's still alive and kicking!), it is a nice effort and feels more serious than shooting me a text.

I can't decide what to eat tomorrow. As my sister told me, they have a deep fried poptart sundae. Seriously! Is it wrong if I just eat desert tomorrow?

Don't worry, I'll keep you updated on what I eat...oh, and on my date.

Day 209 - Hellooooo Friday!

Yay! I am, once again, super excited that it's Friday.

Legal Eagle is in San Diego this weekend, bummer. But alas, the apartment needs cleaning, I have to unpack and there are errands to run.

Saturday I'm going to Target to finally get the other curtain for my closet. I can't wait!! I'm so excited to see it put together. I think I will also look at bathroom towels and sheets (since I'm obsessed).

Then I think I will also head to H&M to look at the summer fedoras. I know, cheesy, but whatever. And then I think I will finish up by looking at sheets at Bed, Bath & Beyond since it's right near home.

I've mostly decided I want these sheets from PB Teen (but now I've changed my mind and want the pink instead of the blue), but I still want to look since shipping prices bump up the cost so much.

Then I plan on cleaning the rest of the day because that night I'm going to hang out with Neighbor. He's going to come over, I think, and we're finally going to do a Ouija board! The only way I could get him to go along with it is if it was at my place and not his. Lame. And LE said she wanted to be gone during it so this weekend works perfectly. I'm excited, but have to seriously clean because this will be the first time he's here for more than a quick stop.

No other major plans. Maybe I'll lay in bed most of Sunday, post pics of my parent's new place (on here and maybe on Facebook for them), watch movies in bed and just laze about. That sounds like a good idea for Sunday.

OK, back to work so I can get this weekend started. Have a fabulous weekend!!

Day 171 - Which Outfit Should I Wear?

OK, first I will give you some background and then I will show you the choices with a PRO and CON listed for each one...and then I think I will be able to put a quiz in so that you can click and vote. Enjoy!

PARTY: Housewarming party for guy who I DO NOT have a crush on. In Sherman Oaks (just north of my place). Party starts at 9pm, but Legal Eagle has class so we will not be there until 10 or 11 most likely, therefore we are already making an entrance just by being late.

BOY POSSIBILITIES: No cute guys confirmed. None looking to confirm via Facebook investigation.

STYLE: It's a housewarming party, which I'm sure means casual. However, I tend to overdress, so I'm fine looking a little too good. :)

OK, ready? Here are the choices! (Oh, and please pardon the lack of hair and makeup styling, as well as the poses.)

^OUTFIT #1: New dress from H&M sale last week ($20!), black jacket, black tights, black heels, silver necklaces.

PRO: It's new and fabulous. I love the dress and haven't worn it.

CON: It's new and fabulous. I have this weird thing that when I first wear something I want to be wearing it to something that is worthy of it. I'm not sure this housewarming party is worthy.

^OUTFIT #2: Black dress, navy blue military-style jacket, black boots.

PRO: It's more casual than the other choices, but it's a nice mix of casual and "my outfit is better than everyone else's."

CON: I'm considering wearing this next week since I have a lot going on and will be out and about places, which means I won't want to wear it to the party because I'm weird like that.

^OUTFIT #3: Oh, purple NYE dress, long black sweater that I live in, black booties.

PRO: It would be good for me to wear my NYE dress more than once.

CON: Since the material of the dress is a little dressier, this selection may look like I am too dressed up even for me.

OK all, I should figure out this voting thing and have it up shortly! Yay!!!

Day 79 - Colors Of The Rainbow

Things I want in every color of the rainbow:

My white H & M purse (got yet another compliment on it!)

Coffee cups

Sleep tanks from little girl's section at Target

Long summer dresses

Sleep shorts from H & M

Heels and pointy flats

Small clutches like my black one

Nail polish

I really really want to delete my Facebook page. But then the vain side of me will suffer.

Day 8 - It's A Crime

I went to H & M with Legal Eagle the other day because she needed a dress on short notice. It was soooo hard to be in there, but I did so well.

However I fell in love.

This dress was there , but in olive green. It looked wonderfully perfect. But now is not the time to be buying dresses. I didn’t even try it on! (Mostly because I knew that if I did and it looked as great as it did in my head, I would have made myself buy it).

I very much so had a Shopaholic moment, trying to figure out if there was some way to justify buying it. But let’s face it, there wasn’t.

4th of July tomorrow! Beach, parade, surfers and fun! Can hardly wait and LE and I are in much need of this day. Oh, and we can even dress our little babies (cats) up like sailors…yes, we have costumes and yes I will post a picture.
