Day 302 - Move Complete

So, the move is totally over.

It was exhausting. My muscles are still sore.

But my place will be so freaking cute when it's done.

Actually, the move wasn't all that eventful.

The Brit helped me out which was great or else I would probably still be carrying boxes to my new place.

However, the next day I was at Starbucks working and my dental crown fell off. It gets better. I swallowed it! And now I have to find it!

I think my body has gone into a bit of shock. Ugh, getting grossed out just thinking of typing this. But so far, no tooth.

OK, that's enough for today. I get cable and internet installed at my place tomorrow. Yay!

Also, Barbar is slowly adjusting. He is only difficult once I go to bed. Not too bad.

Bye!

Day 301 - Things Just Got Weird

"The Bar"

^The Brit's nickname for Barbar. This is new, but it is what he calls him at times. Seriously, this relationship is getting weird. I need to separate them. Well, after I ask the Brit to help me move Barbar to my new place. I have a feeling he won't object.

Day 300 - I Get It, You're Dating Me Because Of Barbar

"I mean, I would totally be up for throwing the sardine around with Barbar for 30 minutes."

^The Brit yesterday while eating burgers. He asked if I was just going to be working that afternoon (I was). He still had time before getting together with a friend to watch football. He absolutely loves Barbar and playing with him since he fetches and brings back the item every time. He tells me often that Barbar is the best cat ever because dogs don't even fetch as well as him and when they do, you have to fight to get the toy back. He also said if I'm ever out of town, he'd be up for having Barbar stay with him. He also tells Barbar he loves him. And he builds him forts out of my moving boxes. This relationship is unhealthy. Especially since I get the feeling Barbar likes him back. He gets all in the Brit's face when he comes by. I'm the third wheel. Yeesh.

Day 299 - A Bit About The Move

Today I moved my really big apartment items.

Legal Eagle, her bf Double B and the Brit all helped.

Double B has a truck which is awesome for me and my move.

Everything went smoothly as I really don't have much stuff.

This was actually the Brit's first time meeting them both and everyone got along. He thought they were both really nice.

The boys did pretty much all of the carrying and didn't seem grumpy about it at all.

Then, after that I took the Brit out for burgers. I still feel like I owe him because he really made it easier and he helped move LE's bed as well.

And I need to get Double B something, like a bottle of booze, as a thank you because he definitely saved my move.

Now, I am just going to pack some more and chill for the night.

So far, so good.

Day 298 - Just Checking In

I don't feel much like blogging, but I thought I should stop by.

I'm moving in 2 weeks. I've started some stuff and I'm pretty excited about the whole thing. I can't wait to work on decorating and all that.

Christmas was lovely with the family. Austin was a bit on the cold side, but we managed to have fun.

Things are weird with the Brit. He didn't want to do anything with me for New Year's Eve as it's his night to get bombed with his friends. As are the other following holidays apparently: St. Patrick's Day, Fourth of July and Halloween. But I can totally have Valentine's Day and his birthday. WTF?

Basically I'm still upset and I think he just wants it to blow over. He really doesn't seem to think there is anything wrong with the fact that he pretty much banned me from seeing him on certain holidays.

Plus it's raining like mad today so that doesn't help my mood.

But, I am about to be all caught up on work and should have time to do more packing tonight. Kind of nice to have some time to myself.

Will keep you updated.

Day 296 - A Fabulous Birthday Celebration

Last night the Brit and I celebrated his birthday and it was great.

First, we went to Geisha House for dinner. He was so excited when I told the parking lot attendant where we were going so we could park. Up until we got there, I kept the dinner locale secret. The Brit apparently loves sushi, phew.

I had read reviews and some people said it was too dark and too loud, but it was actually very nice. It was red lighting but also normal lighting so it wasn't too much. It wasn't loud at all, but we got there early, which I think is the way to go.

We got drinks that were delish! Seriously, I love lychee cocktails.

We also got some edamame and a couple rolls. Everything was really good. The two rolls were really different and he let me pick them both since I had read reviews of what was good.

The only problem there was the service was slow. This would not be a problem except we were on a time crunch. Also, the prices may have been higher than how good the sushi was, but it's very Hollywood, so you expect it.

We made it out on time and walked over to Santaland Diaries!

It was really good, again.

At first I was worried because the actor wasn't as good as the Chicago guy in the beginning, but once he got to the elf stuff and some of the more animated stuff, it was really great. The Brit really enjoyed it. Plus, the lady next to me fell asleep and then woke herself up with her snoring.

After that we decided to grab dessert and wine at Trader Joe's and watch a movie or TV. We then discovered that we both used to get chocolate oranges in our Christmas stockings so that was dessert for the night.

All in all, it was such a nice night. The Brit had a great time and said lots of sweet things about how sweet I am. I know. And now he has a sushi place that he wants to take me to when we're both back in town from Christmas. Plus he was really happy that the whole night was a surprise. He loves surprises which is a relief since I didn't really ask if he did. He just seemed really happy and that was the goal!

Also, I got to wear my $5 awesome H&M dress with black tights and heels and I looked so great! And the Brit was dressed up to which is always fun. He looked sharp and was a total gentleman.

Now I have to pack to move and pack for Christmas in Austin. So much to do. And all I want to do is sleep. Yikes.

Day 295 - Yes, Megan Fox, You Are The Next Angelina Jolie

When I saw Angelina Jolie in the first Tomb Raider film, I fell asleep (my whole family did).

When I saw the second Tom Raider, I fell asleep again.

When I watched Megan Fox in the first Transformers, I fell asleep.

When I saw the second one recently, I fell asleep again.

So yes, Megan Fox and Angelina Jolie have more in common than their looks.

Day 293 - About A Boy

Some Brit updates.

He just got some good music news and texted me about it. He's been in this music testing thing with a former boss that major stars do to see what songs are good. Apparently, his songs are getting great scores and the intent to buy is very high. Now the guy wants him to work on an album with one of his songs (he submitted three different styles). So now the Brit is in a great mood, which means he's even more fun. And I'm happy for him because I know he's constantly thinking/stressing about this stuff.

Also, his birthday is next week and I finally decided that I'm going to take him to Santaland Diaries. I told him I wanted to take him out to something and to dinner as well. I'm so excited because it should be as hilarious as it was in Chicago. And I think I'm going to take him to sushi at Geisha House in Hollywood. I don't actually know if he eats sushi, but he isn't at all picky about food and they have other stuff as well. But it'd be something we haven't done. And we can dress up!

Also, I have to go through some dental work in a few months and I was texting him about it after he asked about my day yesterday and he actually offered to go with me and make sure everything is OK. I was not expecting that because I told him it wasn't until February and I didn't say I needed to have anyone with me or anything. It was nice because he also said he'd watch Bret Michaels with me while I rested. He hates him. Ha.

It's Friday and I'm finally done with work! Now, to eat dinner and find a good movie on TV.
