Day 345 - Or An Eco-Conscious Kid?

"They had a vegetarian, I guess."                                                                                        ^Me telling Legal Eagle about a couple who did a "baby reveal party" by dying a cake either blue or pink so that when it was cut everyone would see if they were having a boy or girl. Their cake ended up green.

Day 344 - Perfect Random Date

The Brit rented a car while his mom was in town. More on that later.

However, he had the car longer than she was here because it was the same price for a weekly rental as it was for five days. So, he had filled the car up and had more gas than he needed to return it with. All this added up to us driving all the way out to Malibu yesterday night.

It was so much fun! We drove all along the coast and saw (we think) where Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston got married.

We also saw Baywatch!

^Yup, saw that!

Actually, it's Zuma Beach. I didn't know we were going up there, but was so excited to see it. He never really watched the show (crazy!) so he didn't know much about the settings. We totally passed the office area where the lifeguards would hang out in between patrolling the crazy beach.

Then we drove up a little further to some curve area where I guess a lot of car commercials are shot.

But, the best part was we were looking for some little place to eat and ended up at Neptune's Net.

It was the perfect seafood shack we were looking for. I had yummy fish tacos and he had crab cakes. He thought my fish tacos were the best he's ever had. They were pretty great because the tortilla was nice and warm...and the tacos had pineapple in them. Yum! But, I think the setting and little trip made them even better.

^My fish tacos! Well, not mine, but the same ones I ordered.

We had to eat outside under heat lamps which was perfect for the setting. The place doesn't stay open really late, and we actually made it there 15 minutes before closing!

It was such a great time except for some annoying little boy who apparently did a cartwheel in front of the Brit and then yelled, "Cartwheel, bro!" Actually, now that I think about that it sounds like it was funny, but the Brit swears it was annoying. Oh well.
