Day 312 - Should I Feel Bad?

A story from some time ago:

The Brit and I were having a glass of wine and were about to head outside (to the store?).

I asked to borrow a coat as I hadn't planned on having to be out in the cold.

He gave me one as I finished my glass and told me it would be really warm.

It was ... and he continued that he didn't really like the coat FROM HIS EX, but it was too warm to get rid of.

I then did not feel bad when I completely accidentally spilled a little bit of wine on the sleeve.

Oops.

Day 311 - Wazooo!

I have finally set up my wireless at my place.

I am so happy! Now I can run around my apartment with my laptop while I surf the internet.

And Barbar is so relieved because now he can take his kitty laptop into my closet and buy kitty toys online while I think he is just quietly sleeping.

Day 310 - Friday Night Catch Up

Oy, just finished work for the week. I mean, until tomorrow when I work again because I work every single day. I need to fix that.

So, what have I been up to?

Legal Eagle came up last weekend and we painted my place! I am so in love with it. The colors are fabulous! Next time the Brit is over I will ask him to take a picture and send it to me so I can post it because someone still hasn't worked on getting a new camera. And, as usual, it was fun catching up with LE. Schatzi, her cat, had to get his hair cut like a lion this week. It's adorable.

Valentine's Day was nice. The Brit cooked dinner and we watched a bad movie. We had a chocolate mousse thing for dessert and he even got me a rose. Oh, there was a little bump in the night at the beginning. He had to work on some thing for about 45 minutes at the start of the night. He was upset that I was upset. But I explained that I understood work stuff and was fine that he was doing that because I know he has to, but I didn't feel good about it. We resolved it and all was well.

I started working out again. Well, I went running one day. It's been rainy this week. But, it felt good and my knee had no problems.

Oh, I got my replacement tooth. My dentist was almost going to charge me even though I did nothing wrong! So, that sealed my decision to find a new dentist. Plus, my favorite assistant is gone and the new guy almost crushed my hand.

OK, time for me to do something, like sort my laundry that has been sitting here for way too long.

Day 309 - An Actual Blog

I haven't spent much time on here. Yikes! OK, so now I'll write a bit about my life and adventures or lack of adventures.

Work is work and still for jerks.

My apartment is slowly shaping up. Tomorrow Legal Eagle is coming up to help me paint. I'm so excited to finally get that going and to catch up with LE (we probably haven't seen each other in 2 weeks)! Hmmm, yet all the walls aren't taped. Someone has work to do. (Barbar, looking at you.)

It was my dad's birthday this week. I wish I were home for sushi tomorrow with the family. But I don't wish I were home for the cold weather. I suppose I hope they have fun without me...if it is possible.

What else? What else? Oh, I still need a camera. And I am finally thinking about getting a bed frame. A cheap one from Ikea of course. I just can't think about putting my bed back on it's ugly metal frame. This will all have to wait until I figure out what my taxes will be like since I was 1099'ed this year. Yikes!

The Brit is good. Well, he's been stressed a lot lately with computer stuff, work stuff, music stuff, money stuff, etc. I feel bad, but he's getting through it and stuff has been getting resolved. But we're good and hanging out on Valentine's Day. I decided to ask instead of hoping he would read my mind. I think he was worried that I wanted to go out to some expensive dinner, but I told him we should just cook and watch a movie.

I'm having a Dr. Pepper right now. Mmmm.

And Barbar is laying upside-down (not taping the walls).

And now I'm watching the Lifetime movie with DJ Tanner and Fred Savage and it is still the best one ever.

Oh, I finally got a new, working oven. And I'll be getting my tooth next week.

Okey-dokey artichokey, I feel like laying in bed now. I promise to write a more hilarious blog sometime. Promise!

Day 308 - I Tried

I tried watching a few minutes of 'Glee,' but all it did was confirm that I can't stand Lea Michele. Her character is as annoying as she seems to be in reality. Well, at least now I can dislike her for a reason.

Day 307 - You Win This Round

Barbar has been trying to get into my closet since we moved here.

I have been adamant about keeping him out.

The sound it makes when he paws the door is annoying. But lately, he has been able to open the door. So back and forth we go, me getting up to remove him and him testing my patience by going right back to the closet.

Today, I had a total meltdown on him as I feel sniffly and he was all over the closet to get in.

Eventually, he stayed away, but then I went to make lunch.

When I came back I noticed the door open and assumed he was in there chewing on a bag that is temporarily stored in there.

However, when I looked in, I found him napping on a suitcase. And how could I be mad when he was all sleepy, cuddly and purry?

So, I left him alone. Probably not the right decision.

But how can you discipline this little guy?
