Day 130 cont. - Fashion From Last Week!

I'm just waiting for a pan to soak before cooking dinner, so here we go:

^Monday: I look good here. That's all I've got.

^Tuesday: Oh, I'm such a fashion cliche! But I love the outfit and my teased out hair. However, the shoes aren't right...and later that day I remembered Legal Eagle has black booties which would have been perfect!

^Wednesday: I dared to go bare...arms...at work. However, I soon needed to throw on a cardigan because our office is cold, but I did it for a while!

^Thursday: I'll never not love this jacket - my free steal from CosmoGIRL!. Also, my legs look weird, too far apart.

^Friday: Check out my leopard heels. Jealous?

And now to cook...

Day 130 - Oh Yeah, This Is Great

I'm slowly scratching up the back of my gums taking my dumb flipper out. It hurts and improvements better happen soon.

Day 129 - Video Hell

Have I always had no chin???

^My first thought upon seeing Bride Brain's wedding video.

Stand up straight you lazy bum!!!

^My second thought.

I hate being soooo negative though since that's all women ever do. So what is good about the video? My hair looks nice and the dress isn't so miserable. I look good in some shots. My teeth look straight and white. Skin and makeup look good. In general, I don't look that bad. There are just some awkward shots. Legal Eagle looks really good, although she'll claim otherwise. She is standing straight the whole time! And her hair and makeup look great and the dress does too, despite what she'll say.

Day 128 - I'm Hilarious!

Ohhh...I so forgot to blog this convo between Legal Eagle and me from a long time ago:

Me: Maybe we should go see G.I. Joe this summer.

LE: Sure, who's in it?

Me: Sienna Miller.

LE: Oh?! Who does she play?

Me: Barbie.

Day 127 cont. - Last Week's Fashion

Oh hello! Last week Legal Eagle and I house sat in the OC, so I didn't put as much time and thought into my clothes, but here are the outfits!

^Monday: This is my "I have to interview Charlize Theron on my lunch break" outfit. My mom loves the Vogue spread with Charlize in ball gowns with blouses and this is as close to a blouse as I have.

^Tuesday: I've had this dress forever and since that day the sales conference was starting and all these suits were going to be at the office I decided to look a bit more "serious." Also, got a free brownie that day.

^Wednesday: Please excuse my slightly haggard hair and face...this was taken after a long day at the dentist. But I love the outfit and I am ready for fall!

^Thursday: I should be at a disco. I'm adorable!

^Friday: By this point I just wanted to be home in pajamas. I look a bit worn out, but I think I pulled it off!

Until next time...and trust me, some good stuff coming up!!

Great, now by saying that I've set you all up with high expectations. Let me rephrase: some decent fashion coming up, but don't expect much.

Day 127 - Oh...

...it's been over a year since I have gotten my hair cut. I suspect it is starting to show.

Day 126 - I Know...

...last week's fashions TK.

I'm busy and lazy this week and my "tooth" is achy. I won't be normal again until PALM SPRINGS on FRIDAY!

Day 125 - Super Rap Star/Poet

I emailed this to Legal Eagle this morning:

Oh LE my dear,

Running around all day.

But never fear,

Today is my pay day!

I say tonight, we have a drink or wine,

I’ll cook you dinner

And we’ll chit chat and dine.

But that’s not all my little law girl.

You’ve made it through your first week,

And it’s been quite a whirl,

So let’s cheers for joy, so to speak.

Let me buy you a drink.

Totally platonic,

It won’t be accompanied with a wink.

We can dress up or down,

Maybe do our makeup and hair.

I’ll try not to look like a clown,

Do you need something from home to wear?

There’s a bar or brewery right across the road.

I mean, to meet our prince charmings,

You have to kiss a toad.

So if you aren’t too beat,

Or late leaving school,

Let’s turn up the heat

The night before we hang by the pool!

Ha! Not too shabby. Figured we needed to at least head out for one drink since it has been a crazy long week for us both. Plus tomorrow we get to go to a super nice pool! And she said this totally brightened her spirits! Go me! My new name: Spirit Brightener!

Day 124 cont. - Discoveries...

Why are all the good foods solid?

Day 124 - A World Apart

Someone at my new work just went to get McDonalds and another to get El Pollo Loco. Both women. Having worked at a few women's mags this blows me away. I don't think anyone at those other jobs would even have uttered those fast food joints - at least not around the office. Now I want either, but I am restricted to a "soft food and soup" diet because of my dumb tooth or non-tooth I should say.

Day 123 - Oops...Last Week's Fashions!

I have been crazy busy, but now have one minute to post!

^Tuesday: I really had a hard time getting dressed this day. Different for me, but it worked. Oh, and the yellow boots? They're Legal Eagle's. Ahhh...to share a shoe size!

^Wednesday: Convo with oldest sister about outfit:
Me: Will people at work respect me less because I'm wearing a mustache necklace?

Oldest sister: No, mustaches are masculine so they will respect you more.

Me: Oh, and I'm wearing pants.

OS: Man.

^Thursday: Whoa short skirt! Whoa messy room!

^Friday: Hey! Who's the rugrat in the picture covering up my shoes?!

^Friday again: Better. So happy I figured out a way to wear this shirt for work without looking like I'm headed to a club.

That's all folks...Labor Day was Monday and I probably spent it in my pjs. More next week!!

Day 122 - And That's Way More Valuable In Life!

But I can do your makeup!

^My response on Saturday night when I was hassled by someone who shall remain nameless for having all sisters and therefore not knowing which part of the guitar for Guitar Hero was the joystick. NOTE: This evil being was talking about the control panel (up/down arrows) and there was NO joystick.

Last week's fashion TK, promise!

Day 121 - Fashion This Week At Work

I am getting very close to repeating outfits. Time to get creative!

^Monday: I raided Legal Eagle's closet for this belt. The skirt is pleated, but you can't tell. I feel like I look like how an architect would dress and that is my current goal in life.

^Tuesday: I raided LE's closet again for suspenders. Story - I was going to wear tank tops layered with these pants, but then I wondered if that was appropriate. So, I Googled tank tops at work and found that it wasn't really appropriate. Then when I got to work three women were wearing tank tops, spaghetti straps or some sleeveless form. Lame.

^Wednesday: I hated this outfit. Still do. Everything just fit weird together and that skirt bothers me when I walk. Win some and lose some.

^Thursday: I love this dress and managed to make it a bit work appropriate. Also my hair looks cute I think. Only problem...why am I standing like squatting?

^Friday: I did not want to go anywhere this day and was going to wear a trash bag-like outfit. So I forced myself to look cute, put on tall shoes and I ended up feeling much better all day. Plus I love that blouse, but don't wear it enough.

Day 120 - Here Is Where We Differ

Legal Eagle and I have a lot in common, but last night we discovered where we differ:

LE: When did Vaniety Fair get all political?

Me: Huh?

LE: Did it always do political stuff?

Me: I don't think it was ever completely fashion-y. They do a variety and have more long articles on random stuff. Why?

LE: Because there is a really political piece in it.

Me: Oh! I know!

LE: How do you know about it?

Me: I read about it online. I read all that stuff online.

LE: Oh.

Me: But I know, like why would they interview Levi Johnston?

LE: What? Oh...that is not what I was talking about.

Me: No, yeah, they did a thing interviewing him about Sarah Palin or something.

LE: I was talking about an interview with the secretary of the Treasury.

Me: What?

LE: An interview with the Sarah Palin guy isn't politics, it's still celebrity.

Me: It's politics by my standards.
